These beautiful earrings are made from recycled waste paper which is pulped, compressed and coloured. They are finished with a splash of 24ct gold leaf detail and 14ct gold-filled earring hooks. They are solid but super light and comfortable to wear. 
 
As each pair is completely handmade they are entirely unique. Please see the photo in silver for approximate size and how they hang.

Whats the difference between gold-filled and gold-plated? Well while gold-plated is just a thin layer of gold applied to a base metal, gold filled is actually a thicker layer of gold bonded to a base metal. Gold-filled is much more durable than gold-plated as the gold won't wear away and as it's not solid gold it means you can have your gold jewellery at a much more affordable price!
 
The paper elements in these earrings are sealed to make them water resistant however it is not recommended that they are fully immersed in water. If they are it is best to remove and allow to dry.
